This is a working homestead. If you want a share of beef, grass genetic animals, Navajo-Churro wool or sheep meat, or something from the Fertrell shelf, call ahead to discuss options. If you are looking for a first hand visit, we love to show our farm to customers. Call to schedule something with us. If you are looking to learn about rotational grazing or looking for help on your grazing operation, again just call ahead. We would rather know a core group of people well, and be able to meet what you need. Because we are a small farm, our products and time are limited. Thank you for checking us out.

From the Navajo-Churro flock

Never any grain. Sometimes the sheep are corralled and fed hay so they can be protected from predators. Wool and meat are what we can talk about now. Sheep meat can be processed at Palmyra or at Dawning Day Processing in Clayton, Illinois. Within a reasonable distance, we can deliver. A hide is only when a sheep or a cow is already due for processing. Tanning is a long, hands-on process, done to honor the animal and not waste anything.
